FREE WEB TRAFFIC
While Google Adwords can explode the number of visitors you get, don’t neglect free web traffic when you build a website.
Many “webmasters” build their entire website around a Google pay per click campaign. They understand the power of Adwords to deliver targeted traffic.
They write terrific landing pages, wonderful ads, and perhaps even use A/B or multivariate testing to improve the profitability of their Adwords advertising campaigns.
But, their strategy, built completely around paid advertising, ignores the raw power of the internet to deliver enormous numbers of potential customers---free.

The first page of Google’s Search Results is the pot of gold at the end of the internet rainbow

The simple fact is that once you get to the top of Google’s search pages, free web traffic can be the gift that keeps on giving. . . and sometimes providing enormous visitor traffic for years and years. See for yourself in this pie chart:

Reach for Unbelievably More Web Traffic
This chart (start at the top and read it clockwise) illustrates the importance of getting onto the first page of Google---and, once there, getting as high on the page as possible.
Researchers tracked a particular keyword over a period of time and tabulated the number (and percentage) of clicks to different web pages that the word generated.
The web page appearing in the #1 search result position (i.e., the first web page displayed for the keyword) received a staggering 42% of all the clicks from the Search Results page (over 2,000,000). On the chart, this piece of the pie goes from the 12:00 position to the 5:00 position and is dark blue.
The web page in the #2 position was clicked on about 11.90% by searches. That’s just 40% as often as the web page just above it (though still an incredible 586,000 clicks).
You’ll see that there are 11 pieces of the “pie.” The first ten pieces represent the first ten web results and the percentage of total clicks for each. The 11th piece (shown in light blue from about the 10:00 position) represents the percentages of clicks to all the web pages combined that were not on the first page of the displayed results.
The #1 displayed search result got more than 42% of worldwide clicks; the ten web pages that reached the first page of Google’s Search Results accounted for more than 90% of all the planet’s clicks. And, get this: the #1 ranked site got nearly four times as many clicks as the total for all the combined searches from the #11 ranked site to the end of all the Search Results!

Strategy: Combine your Adwords advertising campaign with web pages designed for high search rankings. You’ll get the best of all marketing worlds: highly targeted free and paid traffic---and maybe lots of it.

We’ll show you how to
- Research and find the best keywords
- Build a web page with the potential to reach the top results in search engines
- Market every new web page (usually free) for traffic and back links
Remember: free web traffic is the perfect complement to any Adwords campaign. Take the time to build your website correctly and you’ll enjoy the benefits for years to come.
Finally, here's a kind of "road map."
Along the left NavBar are a series of web pages devoted to a particular step or item you should consider doing as you build your own web page for success.
I've tried to limit each page to a discrete topic so, to better understand matters, I recommend starting with the first section on the Nav Bar and working your way down, one section at a time.
